Aadhaar First
Ensure branch/field officers prioritize Aadhaar eSign over other electronic/digital eSigns
Why you need this feature

Often in the field when agents or branch officers collect signatures - they prefer the easiest possible way. This is where non-compliant and fraudulent practices slip in.
In a physical flow for example, they often get blank form signatures. But in a digital flow, they start skipping the eSign type that causes friction or is harder to do i.e. Aadhaar eSign. And compliance teams hate it - they want them to ensure customers are doing Aadhaar eSign for as many documents as possible.
That’s where Aadhaar First steps in. With Aadhaar First you can set up a cascading order for each Aadhaar eSign type (OTP, Bio, Iris, Face) depending on your use case - signer attempts to eSign in the order you set.
38L+ document journeys have used Aadhaar first operations till date
How Aadhaar First works?
- Field officers must attempt all available Aadhaar eSign modes before accessing non-Aadhaar options
- Non-Aadhaar options remain accessible for customers without Aadhaar linkage as a fallback option
- The system automatically routes signers through the cascade, eliminating the need for policy reminders or spot checks
Flow

1
Document is opened and customer tries Aadhaar eSign Via OTP

2
OTP Fails due to UIDAI down-tim so customer tries Biometric. That also fails and proceeds to do IRIS

3
If all mentioned Aadhaar eSigns fail due to downtime or other errors, customer is shown a secure virtual sign as a backup

4
Customer proceeds to eSign succesfully

Guaranteed Compliance:
Every customer who should sign via Aadhaar eSign does — no exceptions, no workarounds

Smart Fallback Flow:
If a customer has Aadhaar-mobile linkage issues, the system automatically tries other Aadhaar modes first — Face, Biometric, IRIS — before falling back to non-Aadhaar signing as a last resort. No customer gets stuck, no signing is lost
