Frequently asked questions

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Talk to our team

Do I need a separate leegality contract management account?
No, you can directly access our contract management features if you are using our tool for signing documents. Just reach out to your Leegality AM and they will help you get started
Can we store old contracts that are not executed on the platform?
Yes, you can upload your legacy contracts and make a unified repository on the Leegality platform
What happens to contract data when we use AI features?
Your contracts are stored and processed on Indian servers only. When our AI reviews a contract or extracts obligations, it reads the document — it does not retain a copy, and your contract data is never used to train any AI model
What are obligations?
An obligation is a commitment that a contract creates for one of the parties. It can be a deadline, a deliverable, or a requirement. Renewal notices, data deletion requirements, insurance certificate submissions, and audit reporting deadlines are all obligations.
Do we have to set up obligation templates for every contract?
No, you can set up obligation templates once in your account and then every contract auto-extracts obligations from that template.
Can we use these features on contracts executed outside Leegality?
Yes! You can use features on contracts executed outside Leegality. Just bulk upload your contracts and use Leegality features on them.
Can we review documents in bulk?
Yes, you can review and extract obligations from documents in bulk.
Does the counterparty need to have an account on Leegality to review the contracts?
No, the counterparty does not require an account for reviewing contracts. They can use the Leegality platform as a guest or they can simply download and re-upload their edited version on the link shared with them.
