BharatStamp stamp procurement is now guided and self serve - explainer

Procuring the right stamps depends on:

• the State where stamp duty is payable,
• the correct Article Code for your use case,
• and the Denomination permitted for that article code in that state.

So, we’ve upgraded the stamp procurement process via Leegality to be more guided and accurate - reducing errors and time taken to order stamps.

There are 2 notable changes:

1. Self-serve Stamp Series Form - to place an order, directly from the Leegality dashboard
2. Stamp Procurement Panel - specifically for procurement teams to use, without the added cost of a seat to access Leegality 

1) Self-serve Stamp Series Form

We introduced a dashboard flow that makes stamp series creation simpler, with validation for article codes and permissible denominations—so teams can procure correctly without raising support tickets.

Stamp Series form now guides you through the choices so you don’t have to “know everything upfront”. Here’s how it works:

1. You select the state upfront from a dropdown, so the rest of the form changes automatically.

2. Once you choose a state, you’ll only see article codes that are relevant for that state.

3. The denomination field clearly shows the allowed range and you can only enter values within that range.

4. Then you proceed to add the first party and second party names, followed by shipping information.

What this unlocks for you: 

• Fewer support dependencies during initial stages of procurement. 
• You don’t have to spend time figuring out the correct article codes and denomination configurations.

2) Stamp Procurement Panel (delegate without extra user costs)

We added a separate procurement panel that can be used by finance/ops teams without requiring them to be full Leegality users. 

How does the procurement panel work?

Through an external link, users can view their organization's existing stamp series and place stamp orders for any series directly. This enables organizations to delegate stamp procurement internally without adding extra users on Leegality.
